Portada y sinopsis de «Emperor of Thorns», tercera entrega de la trilogía de Mark Lawrence 'The Broken Empire'

Emperor of Thorns es la tercera entrega de la trilogía de fantasía The Broken Empire. Desde el blog personal de Mark Lawrence, su autor, hemos podido comprobar el aspecto final de la cubierta, obra del artista Jason Chan, que establece un estilo visual paralelo con las anteriores portadas de la trilogía. En España únicamente se ha traducido hasta la fecha Príncipe del Mal, la primera entrega de la que se ha venido a llamar "Trilogía de la Sangre", publicada por Minotauro durante el pasado año, quedando inédita por el momento la segunda entrega, King of Thorns. 

La novela Emperor of Thorns llegará a las librerías en el mes de agosto de 2013, momento en que será publicada tanto en formato electrónico como en tapa dura con sobrecubierta –con un total de 423 páginas– por la editorial Ace, aunque además del inglés también se publica en otros tantos idiomas, hasta un total de diecisiete en el caso de la primera entrega de la trilogía. Prince of Thorns quedó finalista en los  premios Goodreads Choice Award en la categoría de "Mejor Fantasía 2011", así como en el David Gemmell Morningstar Award de  2012, quedando King of Thorns a su vez finalista en los Goodreads Choice Awards de 2012.
